‘This is sooooo relaxing, i wish…’
Exhaustion dulls the imagination. So you have had strategy
sessions since the beginning of the year and series of meetings to set
objectives, goals and to align your department with the overall objectives of
your organization. That being said, you also need to settle in, provide your
team with the necessary directions for the year and for the business owner you
need to tackle the current realities of the economy and figure out ways to
position your business to make money still. Mehn! That’s a lot of work.
If you haven’t had any “ME’ time since 2016 began, there is
a likely hood you are on the road to ‘Burnoutsville’ by the end of the 1st
quarter of the year. I am talking to both the 9-5 and the ever busy
entrepreneur who wants to put his business on the map.
Your passion is the driver for your business, your work and
your life. And like every mechanism that drives something it needs to be fueled
and serviced from time to time. If you are to remain passionate about your
work, business even relationships enough to drive it, you need to take time off
to recharge & service your passion. Your passion is the battery that fuels
your efforts. Keeping it charged is similar to gardening. You just
can’t put the same plant in the same soil, season after season, without either
giving the soil a break or adding some nutrients back into it, so that it can
continue to nourish the same type of plants that have already leached what
it needs from the soil (remember
those Agric lessons’ they were right all along)
To excel in your endeavor you must have your battery intact
because a tired, burned out, frazzled, not together YOU isn’t going to move
anything forward. Taking time off every
few months is beneficial to you and those around you because you can think
about what you have been doing, check if you are in-line or have deviated and
in this light put in perspective where you want to be going.
When we take time off, we discover ourselves again and
remember who we are. When are batteries (passion) are recharged, excitement becomes
the norm, we see life through clearer lenses, colors are brighter, we have so
much more to give and life isn’t as bad as we thought it was.
So this takes us to ‘what are we planning for Valentine?’
It’s
a weekend and an ideal ‘getaway time’.
We have put together mouth watery getaway deals for couples,
families and groups to recharge their batteries and resume work more Centered
with lazer focus and energy
For the Love we share
